My Story
FROM DISPLACEMENT TO GLOBAL SERVICE
I never imagined this season of rebuilding and transition would lead me here.
During one of the hardest seasons of my life, I experienced firsthand what it means to rely on community, support, and faith while finding stability again.
Today, I work professionally as a Housing Support Specialist, walking alongside families and helping them navigate some of the same challenges I once faced myself.
So when the opportunity came to serve in Gulu, Uganda through community outreach, children’s ministry, prison ministry, and village support, something in me connected to it immediately.
This journey feels deeply personal to me.
I understand what rebuilding feels like.
I understand the power of community.
And I understand how meaningful it can be when people choose to show up for one another during difficult seasons.
More than anything, this season of my life has been about obedience, expansion, and learning to say yes to opportunities that stretch my faith beyond what feels comfortable.
As a single mom, one of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been realizing that I do not have to carry everything alone.
My siblings and sister-in-law are stepping in to help care for my children while I serve, reminding me that sometimes faith looks like allowing yourself to be supported too.

Why This Mission Matters
This mission is an opportunity to serve communities in Gulu, Uganda through faith, encouragement, outreach, and connection. From village ministry to children’s programs, we’ll be showing up with open hearts, willing hands, and the love of Jesus.
Village & Community Outreach
Throughout this trip, we’ll have the opportunity to connect directly with families, children, and local communities through outreach, prayer, encouragement, and relationship-building. My hope is to serve with humility while learning from the strength and resilience of the people we meet.
Faith, Growth & Obedience
This journey is deeply personal for me. After seasons of uncertainty and rebuilding, saying yes to this mission feels like saying yes to growth, healing, faith, and purpose. I believe obedience can open doors we never imagined possible.
